Tour Itinerary

Day 1- Arrive in Cochin


Arrive in COCHIN - Rest of the day free to relax - Dinner and Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2- Cochin to Palayoor-Kottakavu


Afterbreakfast at 8AM drive to PALAYOOR ( 120kms-4hrs) - Lunch enroute- visit St.Thomas Archdiocesan shrine . Later drive to KODUNGALOOR – 60kms –(2hrs)-visit Maliankara Church. After spending 1 hr in the church , drive to KOTTAKAVU – (15kms)-visit Kottakavu forane church Later return to Cochin by late evening – It is time to relax after a tiresome day –dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 3- Malayatoor-Fort Cochin


Afterbreakfast at 8am drive to Malayatoor Church – (50 kms) -2hrs- visit St.Thomas Catholic Church. After spending sometime in the church , return to Cochin – Lunch enroute – afternoon visit Fort Cochin , St.Francis church and Jewish synagogue. Return to hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4- Kokkamangalam-Alleppey


After early breakfast check out at 8am and drive to KOKKAMANGALAM–(60kms-2hrs)- visit St.Thomas Syro- Malabar Catholic Church. After spending an hour at the church drive to Alleppey (1hr) to board the Houseboat for a day cruise through the most amazing backwaters while food will be served on board. Check out at 5pm and drive to Beach - Later check in Hotel at 7pm for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5- Niranam-Nilakkal-Quilon


Afterbreakfast check out at 7am and drive to NIRANAM (120kms-4hrs)- visit St.Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church. After spending half hour in the church proceed to NILAKKAL( 90 kms-4hrs) – Lunch enroute- visit St. Thomas Nilakkal Pally.After spending an hour in the church drive to QUILON(80kms-3hrs ) for overnight stay .

Day 6- Quilon to Kovalam


Afterbreakfast check out at 09am and proceed to visit the Church of Our Lady of Purification (05kms).After spending sometime at the church , drive to KOVALAM ( 75kms-3hrs)- Check In and rest of the day free to relax - Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7- Trivandrum-Shanghumugham Beach


Afterbreakfast at 09:30am proceed for Trivandrum City tour – visit Kuthiramalika Palace Museum for the rarest specimen of workmanship built by Maharaja Swathi Balarama Varma, this palace displays valuable collections of royal family. Later visit Napier museum named after Lord Napier, this art and history museum was established in 1855. An exemplary example of gothic architecture-style, Napier Museum boasts greatly of its natural air conditioning system. It houses an exceptional collection of ornaments, bronze idols, chariots and ivory carvings. The museum offers insight into the rich and glorious culture and history of Kerala.- Lunch enroute at 1:30pm- after lunch visit Priyadarshini Space Planetarium ,ranked among the most versatile planetariums in India. This planetarium imparts valuable knowledge about earth and the enormous universe that we all are part of. Simulating the star-studded night sky on any earth location is its most attractive feature. After spending sometime proceed to Shanghumugham Beach an ideal place for those seeking peace and serenity. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is known for breath taking sunrises and sunsets; The calm environs and exquisite shoreline here is undoubtedly commendable. Later return to resort for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8- Padmanabhapuram Palace-Kovalam Beach


Afterbreakfast at 8am drive to THIRUVANCODE (100kms-3hrs)- visit St. Mary's Orthodox Church.After spending a while at the church , visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and return to Kovalam Beach- Dinner and overnight in Kovalam

Day 9- Trivandrum Airport-Chennai


Afterbreakfast check out and drive to TRIVANDRUM airport (20kms ) for onward journey to CHENNAI – Arrive at Chennai and proceed to St. Thomas Mount.After spending an hour at the church drive to Chennai city to check into the hotel- Lunch – At 4pm drive to SanThome church to see the tomb of St. Thomas – later proceed to the shopping market / mall – rest of the day free to relax- Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 10- To Chennai Airport


Afterbreakfast check out at 11am to proceed to Chennai Airport to catch flight back home carrying fond memories of the Christian faith Tour.

According to tradition, Christianity in Kerala was founded by Saint Thomas the Apostle, who landed on the Malabar Coast, at Maliankara near Cranganore (Kodungallur), in 52 AD. Why precisely in 52 is difficult to say, but this date is firmly held in the present tradition communis of the St Thomas Christians. On his arrival - so tradition holds - the Apostle converted several Brahmin families, from whom a good part of the present-day Nazranies descended , and founded seven churches.
